Coming to you live from Cannes!
Taking advantage of a four-day weekend–thank you, France, for still pretending to be uber-Catholic when it comes to holidays–I headed to the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday with a few friends from class. Even during the day, Cannes was mobbed with people–celebrities, paparazzi, festival attendees and good old people watchers. I’d been to Cannes in the off-season, so it was crazy to see the difference in how many people were mobbing the streets.
The storms cleared just in time for the festival, so the weather was absolutely beautiful. My favorite part was seeing all the television shows and reports being shot live from Cannes–there were reporters and cameramen everywhere! I especially liked the set-up of Canal+ right on the beach, with the sea in the background.
