Postcard from Paris
Paris tends to be one giant photo opportunity: the characters, the architecture, the balance of opulence and grittiness.
There are the perfect set-ups: in front of the Tour Eiffel or the Arc de Triomphe, the crowds in front of Moulin Rouge or the steps of Sacre Coeur. If you go off the well-worn tourist track, you find the understated charm of Paris: gardens, alleys, courtyards.
When I spotted the Grand Roue de Paris in the Tuileries, I couldn’t resist my love of Ferris wheels and my desire for a new view of the city. I shelled out the 8 Euros, and enjoyed the panorama of Paris in the sunshine.
