Postcard from the Marina
Whenever I visit San Francisco, I usually stay in the Marina. One of my close friends from college has lived in a gorgeous place on Lombard and Divisadero, and I’ve been crashing there since I worked in high-tech PR in Silicon Valley. For the longest time, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Marina: it was just too close for comfort, home to practically half of my high school and college.
However, on this latest trip, I fell a little bit in love with the neighborhood: the bay breezes, the glow of the Golden Gate, the view from the top of the hills, the impossibly good-looking people in every artisan coffee shop. Mostly, though, it was just the feeling of the sand beneath my toes and nothing but blue on the horizon. And, I mean, the In-N-Out while enjoying the view didn’t hurt either.
