Postcard from New York in the spring

Even though I haven’t lived in New York for very long, I’ve realized one very important thing: there are four good months in the year. If you want the very best that New York has to offer, check out the mild temperatures and pops of color in September, October, April and May. And as much as I loved the thousand hues of red and orange and yellow dropped onto the crisp blue skies last fall, I think that the renewal of blooms this spring has taken over for my favorite season in the city.

Granted, every hint of spring was much appreciated after the winter that never seemed to end. Finally, it all came to fruition and every single street seemed to be lined with bright pink blooms: it was GORGEOUS. My only regret is that I didn’t manage to find the time to visit the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens during the cherry blossoms this year: just too busy!  Here are few of my favorite shots from the past few weeks: the pinks have already turned to greens, and our little slice of spring seems to be giving way to summer already.
