Postcard from Elbow Beach
If nothing else, I think we can all safely agree that Bermuda is known for its beaches. The word is practically synonymous with island paradise! I give a lot of credit to the Beach Boys, but even Mark Twain once said: “You go to heaven if you want–I’d rather stay here in Bermuda.” And largely that heaven on earth is the soft pink sand, the incredible clarity and color of the Atlantic (the Atlantic! when is the last time the ocean was described as clear and turquoise and amazing?), the swaying palm trees and teeming coral reefs. We spent the majority of our weekend escape at Elbow Beach, and I don’t regret it one bit. Even though the weather was a bit overcast (and on the verge of stormy) at times, and there are supposedly other more beautiful beaches: Elbow Beach was everything I could have asked for in a beach, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
p.s. here’s a little video of our weekend in Bermuda!
