Introducing: Gertie the pug!
We brought home our pug puppy on Friday, and we are over the moon in love with her! Her official name is Gertrude Rose, but she shall affectionately be known as GERTIE from here on out. She’s super chill and funny and honestly, I’m pretty sure she’s the perfect pug specimen. 
We’re settling into life as puppy parents, which can be challenging anywhere but perhaps especially in a place like New York City. Raising a pup in an apartment without a backyard means that we are tearing through stacks of newsprint and that we are eagerly looking forward to the day when she is completely house trained (relying heavily on this book for how to manage that). She can’t walk outside until she has all of her vaccinations at 16 weeks, but we want to start getting her acclimated to life as a city dog: noises, Ubers, subways, being chill and friendly to everyone she meets–aka she’s all about that tote life right now.
