Of the moment // 11.4.16
One of the reasons why I blog is simply to have the space to write: getting things “on paper” helps me to process my feelings and organize my thoughts. I also love having a record of my life over the past few years: a place that holds all of my stories, my photos, the ups and downs of travel. But sometimes, I also just want to remember and share the little things that brought me day-to-day joy. Every Friday, I’ll give you a peek into the book I currently can’t put down, a great restaurant discovery, a fun new product or an inspiring quote: a few things that I think you might enjoy before we all take off into the glory that is the weekend!
My big news this week: today is my last day at Vimeo! Over the past two years, I watched so many awesome videos, consumed too many (free) carbs and made some incredible friends. I’m so grateful for the experience of working at such a kick-ass company, and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to try my hand at sales–I discovered that not only do I love it, but I’m pretty good at it (!). I’ll be announcing my next move in a couple of weeks, but until then: I’m SO excited for two blissful weeks without work emails, deadlines or responsibilities.

Currently feeling so inspired by When Women Win! I have auto-deductions on my bank account every month for EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood, and it’s money I never regret contributing. When Women Win is all about how EMILY’s List was founded (its goal is to elect more pro-choice Democratic women), and it’s getting me so hyped up on women politicians and our involvement in the political process.

This weekend, I’m cheering on friends who are running the New York Marathon. Also hoping to squeeze in a yoga or Pilates class, and make something new in my crockpot!
